·China-Japan Joint Course
One of the center’s inaugural “Double Ten” cultivation projects, this course has been continuously developed for ten years, with each session’s research theme co-defined by Chinese and Japanese partners. The course is characterized by its “art-science hybrid class” model: Chinese students primarily come from design studies, while Japanese students come from engineering, agriculture, and medicine. Students participate in research and creation as junior researchers. The course is delivered in two stages (one in China and one in Japan), encompassing field investigation, rapid design exercises, model fabrication, and course exhibitions. Outstanding participants are invited to join subsequent research groups to continue thematic research.

·Healthcare Design
This course focuses on cutting-edge domains such as rehabilitation medicine and consumer-grade exoskeletons, jointly offered by China Academy of Art, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and industry partners (Fourier Intelligence and ULS Robotics). Students work in interdisciplinary teams to complete investigation, prototyping, and testing and validation. Outstanding projects are fast-tracked to the DIA Innovation Incubation Award and receive enterprise support for prototyping and mass-production incubation, forming a closed loop of industry-education synergy.

·Thematic Studio in Design Intelligence
Leveraging the DIA platform, this course takes global cutting-edge Design Intelligence cases as research objects, systematically analyzing the innovation logic of intelligent products, service systems, and industrial models. Students undertake thematic creation around directions such as Design Intelligence theoretical construction and data-driven design, completing the full-process practice from concept to prototype in a real competition environment.
