The School of Intermedia Art brings together contemporary art, digital technology and diverse cultures to build an integrated talent-development system oriented towards media transformation and frontier artistic innovation. The School offers programmes in Intermedia Art across undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. Its teaching and research are organised through five research institutes: Contemporary Art and Social Thought, Network Society, Spatial Video, Method Scenography, and Art Perception and Visual Thought. Through this structure, the School cultivates artists and media creatives with command of new media technologies, an experimental spirit, and rigorous critical thinking. The School is supported by platforms including the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, Material Interaction Lab, Sensory Hubridity Lab, and Image Generation Lab. These platforms provide an open environment for teaching, research, and industry-university collaboration. Students benefit from hands-on learning, cross-disciplinary creative projects and opportunities in curatorial practice, art innovation and entrepreneurship covering digital imaging, interactive installation and intelligent media performance. Graduates go on to work in new media industries, internet sectors, art museums and cultural institutions, becoming art practitioners and innovators who are able to address contemporary cultural issues and participate in global artistic conversations.
