The Grand Tour · 2026 China Academy of Art (CAA) Graduation Season has come to a successful close. Graduates from 20 academic units responded to the times with art and explored the future through creativity, unfolding a youthful narrative of ideals, journeys, and growth across the city and campus, transforming Hangzhou into an open art venue that gathers intellectual power, creativity, and action.

The China Academy of Art is proud to launch the "Youth Insights" series, which continues to focus on topics such as avant-garde experimentation, humanities and technology, rural academies, A better China, rooted construction, people-centered, poetic cinema, visual sinology, Eastern design, and overseas insights. The series closely follows how young creators measure the world with their footsteps and respond to the times with their works. Between every departure and arrival, we jointly witness the grand explorations and boundless possibilities of a new generation of artists.

Beyond the Vast Expanse · AImoria is an AI-native narrative companion device conceived for domestic environments. Operating through a cloud-edge collaborative architecture and multimodal generative mechanisms, the system integrates the user's personal memories into the ongoing life-construction of the AI agent, AIMO. It translates individual experiences into fantastical narratives within the AImoria world—narratives that are both projectable and recallable—thereby engendering a spatially oriented form of intelligent companionship that evolves through mutual growth between the user and the artificial agent.

In the context of a reality held in suspension, AImoria preserves a domain of untamed spiritual wilderness for its users. Through sustained interaction, users continuously endow AIMO with new stories and vitality, enabling the agent to gradually forge its own narrative trajectory and metaverse. By means of spatial projection, the work constructs a readable window into the psyche—offering users an inner space from which they may once again venture forth and rediscover themselves.

Advisor's Message:

We believe this project does not reduce AI to a mere generative tool, but rather embeds it within a more complex relational ecology—where the user's memories, the agent's narrative growth, and the daily companionship of home converge into a synchronized, living system. The concept is sophisticated and resonates with pressing contemporary concerns. It addresses not just technical feasibility, but the deeper question of how technology integrates into human emotion, memory, and everyday existence. This endows the work with the potential to redefine how we imagine domestic life.

Team Members

Sun Yiyang — Graduated from the Institute of Media Interaction, China Academy of Art. An interdisciplinary designer and emerging technology artist working at the intersection of HCI, XR, and interactive media. Her research has been presented at SIGGRAPH Asia, and her installations have been exhibited in Hong Kong, Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.

Chen Ziying — Graduated from the Institute of Media Interaction, China Academy of Art. She contributes to XR and performance projects as a technical artist, with research interests spanning morphological evolution, perceptual flux, and the body's engagement with media.

Luo La — Graduated from the Art and Technology program at the China Academy of Art. She brings comprehensive experience across the entire creative process—from concept development and design to final implementation. Her practice blends virtual reality with immersive animation to craft digital interactions that are both emotionally charged and sensorially enveloping.
