The 2nd World Industrial Design Conference opened
The 2nd World Industrial Design Conference opened in Yu Hang District on April 21. Spring Career Fair of 2018
CAA held its Spring Career Fair of 2018 on Friday, April 20th.   Booths lined in the gym on Xiangshan campus, with over 200 companies advertising nearly one thousand job and internship opportunities on site. Students were seen bustling around the fair with their resumes in hand, hoping to land a spot in their dream companies.

Write A Letter Home
When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone? Since digital communication has become so accessible, picking up a pen and #writing a letter to a friend or family member hardly ever crosses our minds nowadays.Recently, students from the School of #Intermedia at CAA gathered to write to their families as well as to their Alma Mater (CAA) in celebration of the university’s 90th birthday.

Sketching the Towns!
It’s CAA’s tradition that freshmen led by their professors in every spring go to countryside in Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Shanxi provinces for sketching its scenes. In the nights, teachers comment on students’ sketches created during the day. Students used their cameras, brushes and colors to record local views and its architectures, lovely animals in rural towns.

Young Art Enthusiasts in the China Design Museum
Even though the China Design Museum has only been open for a few days, it has already attracted many visitors. Last Sunday, a group of young art enthusiasts spent a day at the museum. Following the teacher from the Children’s Workshop at the museum, they enjoyed the exhibitions and designed their own handbags inspired by the famous work-Red&Yellow&Blue Chair afterwards.

Celebratory Souvenirs are launched!
Our university’s DDD Store designed a series of celebratory souvenirs for CAA’s 90th birthday; including badges, brushes, scarves, bookmarks and other products. Additionally, the DDD Store also designed some Bauhaus-themed souvenirs for the opening ceremony of the China Design Museum. CAA campuses hold museums of grand architectures
At present, two CAA campuses hold museums of grand architecture. On Xiangshan Campus, you can find the Crafts Museum and the China Design Museum designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winners - Kengo Kuma and Alvaro Siza. Xiangshan Campus is the work of Wang Shu, the first Chinese national to win the Pritzker prize. In the northeast of Hangzhou, the new Liangzhu Campus is designed by Zhang Yonghe, a Pritzker prize judge. The new campus is predicted to open in 2020.

Cornerstone Laying Ceremony for Liangzhu Campus
A Cornerstone Laying Ceremony for Liangzhu Campus, the newest campus of CAA which aims to open in November 2020, was held on the afternoon of April 8. Its design renderings were also published on the day. Prof. Zhang Yong he, the first Chinese judge for the Pritzker Architecture Prize led the design of the entire campus.
