Zhang Aiguo, also known as "Lao Ai" was born in 1967 in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province. He holds BA, MA, and PhD in calligraphy and seal cutting from the China Academy of Art (CAA). He studied under Prof. Wang Dongling and earned his PhD in literature in 2007. Yu Hong was born in January 1974 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He obtained his BA from the Department of Printmaking, China Academy of Art (CAA) in 1997. Yang Xiujing was born in 1964 in Shanghai. In 1987, she completed her BA studies in Russian Language at Hangzhou University (now Zhejiang University). In 1990, she obtained her MA in Art History at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now CAA). From 1990 to 2000, she taught at the Department of Art History, CAA.
