In the spring of 1924, a group of more than twenty Chinese artists in Europe, including Lin Fengmian, Lin Wenzheng, Li Jinfa, Liu Jipiao, and Wang Daizhi, founded the "Opus Society" (also known as the Overseas Art Movement Society) in Paris.
