Guo Jianlian, born in Putian, Fujian in 1977, was admitted to the Department of Oil Painting at the China Academy of Art (CAA) in 1996. He earned his BA in 2000 and his MA in 2003, and started working as an instructor at CAA. In 2004, he was enrolled in the CAA PhD program in painting theory and practice and obtained his PhD in 2008. Yu Jin
Professor Yu studied at Zhejiang University of Technology as an undergraduate, then was selected by the university to study film and television animation at Beijing Film Academy, and received a master's degree in Design from CAA in 2008. She does research in practice and theory of humanistic animation, focusing on the fit between traditional Chinese art and international aesthetics. Chen was enrolled in the Department of Oil Painting at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (predecessor of CAA) in 1984. Upon graduation, he stayed on to teach in the Affiliated High School to CAA where he became the head of the professional teaching and research department in 1997 after studying at CAA teaching assistant class from 1992 to 1993.
