Designed by CAA Teachers, the Mascots for the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games 2022 Released
The mascots for the 19thHangzhou Asian Games in2022, designed by young CAA teachers Zhang Wen and Yang Hongyi, were recently released. The design was singled out from4,633 entries from around the world. The combination, called Memories of Jiangnan, is composed of three mascots named Chenchen, Congcong, and Lianlian. They represent the Bejing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, and the Westlake, respectively, all of which are world heritage sites in Hangzhou, Zhejiang

An Animated Short Film won SND's Silver Medal for the Best of Digital Design!
An animated short film made by Zhejiang News App won SND's Silver Medal for the Best of Digital Design. The majority of the production team are CAA graduates. The Emblem for the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022 Launched!
Today, the emblem for the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022 has been launched! The emblem: Ever Forward, was designed by Chen Zhengda, vice dean of the School of Design at CAA. The motif of the emblem comprises the posture of a wheelchair-bound athlete striving forward. A running track, formed by 10 semi-arc lines with a gradient ramp from purple to red and then yellow, stretches out into the distance, with the surging Qiantang River tides. CAA’s Alumna Dong Qingguo Uses Artworks to Send Wishes to the Chinese People
More than 10 watercolor paintings on the theme of spring, with some featuring plum blossoms, by CAA’s Russian alumna Dong Qingguo(her Chinese name), have been exhibited in Moscow. Plum blossoms can symbolize the spirit of fighting despite setbacks. Dong has used her artwork to pay tribute to healthcare workers fighting the covid-19 outbreak in China, as well as expressing her best wishes to the Chinese people. At the end of each semester, CAA grants the “Erudite Craftsmen” Award to professors who have made valuable contributions to the school’s curriculum and have helped students achieve their artistic ambitions.
