The 3rd Hangzhou Triennial of Fiber Art titled “Boundless Encounters” will be held from Nov 26, 2019 to Feb 9, 2020 at Zhejiang Art Museum, China National Silk Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art at CAA. Exhibition Titled “A Face of Second Modernity: The BraunDesign 1951-1967”is on
A special exhibition titled “A Face of Second Modernity: The BraunDesign 1951-1967” is being held at CAA’s China Design Museum from Oct 29 to Jan 29, 2020, featuring nearly 130 exhibits and 100 documents by Braun, a famous German consumer products manufacturer. Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Crafts Titled “Three Paths” is on
An exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Crafts titled “Three Paths” is being held at CAA’s Crafts Museum from Oct 1, 2019 to Jan 23, 2020. The exhibition, which is hosted by CAA, includes works by more than 140 nominated craft artists from 19 provinces and regions. It is designed to reflect on the academic value of contemporary crafts through three categories — reinterpreting the tradition, crafts as pure art, and the path forward.

Exhibition "Writing·Non-writing" is on
The 2019 Hangzhou International Modern Calligraphy Festival hosted by CAA opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Oct 12. Titled "Writing·Non-writing", the festival consists of three exciting forums on calligraphy innovation, and an exhibition running until Oct 24 with works by calligraphers from 24 countries.

Sculpture Exhibition-“Ode to Sunflowers” celebrating China’s achievements over the past 70 years
CAA is holding a sculpture exhibition entitled “Ode to Sunflowers” from Oct 3 to 30 at the Hangzhou Wulin Square to celebrate China’s achievements over the past 70 years. The opening ceremony was held on the evening of Oct 3 and featured dancing and singing performances. #Zhejiang officials, media representatives, Hangzhou residents, and tourists attended the ceremony.

2019 Design Intelligence Award (DIA) concluded !
The 2019 Design Intelligence Award (DIA) Final Evaluation was held at CAA’s Xiangshan Campus on Sept 19, with 22 top works selected from among 7280 entries from around the world. From Sept 20 to Oct 18, an exhibition of some of the most outstanding DIA works is being hosted by CAA at China Design Museum in Hangzhou. All are welcome to attend and learn how these intelligent designs could change people’s lives!

Cross-Strait Exhibition promote communication and cooperation in art education
A cross-Strait exhibition co-hosted by CAA and National Taiwan University of Arts opened on Sept 20 at Xiangshan Art Commune in Hangzhou. The exhibition, featuring over 200 outstanding works by graduates of 17 academies of art in the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, aims to promote communication and cooperation in art education across the Strait.
