Wu Haiyan led her students design the volunteer uniforms of the 2018 China International Import Expo
The Dean of CAA’s School of Design, Wu Haiyan, led her students design the uniforms that volunteers of the 2018 China International Import Expo wore. Wu’s team designed 103 identifying patterns for the uniform, with the most unique being one with a set of lines and pentagrams, which represent multilateral trade relations.

A special calligraphy and seal cutting exhibition opened
A special calligraphy and seal cutting exhibition opened at the?CAA?Art Museum on Oct 23, lasting until Oct 30. All of the exhibition pieces are donated by 93-year-old Liu Jiang and his family, who are all artists of CAA. Liu donated all of his time to his alma mater.

The statue of Cai Yuanpei is unveiled at CAA
A statue of Cai Yuanpei (1868-1940), carved by Prof. Liu Kaiqu, was unveiled at #CAA on Oct 19, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Cai’s birth. Cai Yuanpei was a famous Chinese educator who founded the National Academy of Art (presently known as CAA) besides Hangzhou’s West Lake in 1928.
