Zhou Wu Won the National Honorary Title
Professor Zhou Wu, dean of the School of Crafts at CAA, won the honorary title “Advanced Individual of Protecting National Intangible Cultural Heritage” recently.
Zhou, born in Longquan, Zhejiang province, a city famous for celadon, has devoted himself to the inheritance of making celadon.
It has been nearly 40 years since he learn the craft in the school when he was 16.

Ready-To-Wear Design Course Completed
The Ready-To-Wear Design course--tatting-oriented research is one of the important courses for undergraduates from department of Textile and Fashion Design. It aims to train an undergraduate to be an independent designer. The student needs to independently finish from conception, drawing to final works. This year 20 students spent their enthusiasm and energy on study and completing their works. Let’s appreciate their works!

Liu Jian and Academy Awards
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organizer of the Oscars, extended invitations to 928 artists and executives on June 26. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2018.
Liu Jian, vice dean of the School of Film and Animation at CAA, is on the invitation name list. Last November, his animation film "Have a Nice Day" was awarded "Best Animation Feature" at the Golden Horse Awards.

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
June 26 is the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Wuhu Animation, a rapidly growing company founded by CAA graduates,has created a cartoon series for the day, called "X Task".

Lin’an Museum-Another Masterpiece by Wangshu
Lin’an Museum will soon open to the public! The architectural masterpiece was designed by WangShu, a professor at CAA, the only Chinese, who was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2012.
Moreover, three national treasures will be put on display in the museum. We’ll keep you updated as further information on the grand opening is released.

One of NTU's prestigious partners, China Academy of Art, sent a delegation to visit NTU this week to strengthen academic and enterprise ties between the two art schools.
