Professor of the Foundation Studies Branch of CAA, Postgraduate Supervisor, Member of China Artists Association, an external reviewer for the random check of master's thesis and doctoral dissertation of China Academic Degrees and Graduate Educ

Chen was admitted to Zhejiang Academy of Art (now CAA) in 1985 and majored in Mountain Water (Landscape) Painting in School of Chinese Painting. Chen later acquired his bachelor and master degree and a Ph.D. degree in Chinese Painting Theory and Practice.
