Jiang graduated from the Affiliated High School of CAA in 1998 and received his B.A. (2002), M.A. (2005), and Ph.D. (2010) degrees from the Department of Oil Painting at CAA, then he stayed on as a lecturer to teach professional basic courses since 2005. Only one year after he received his Ph.D., Jiang was assigned to work at the No.2 Studio (Studio for New Nouvelles Figuration) of the Department of Oil Painting where he had been the Head from 2013 to 2019; From 2019 till now, he is the Head of the No.3 Studio (Studio for Figurative Expressionism).
