Prof. Shao graduated from the Department of Comprehensive Painting of CAA with a master's degree and serves as a professor and postgraduate supervisor at the Department of Photography of CAA. From 2002, he studied at the Department of Comprehensive Painting of CAA, during which time he went to France for advanced study at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Dijon.
