Mr. Shen was born in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province in 1973. He was educated at the Department of Calligraphy at CAA in the Calligraphy and Seal Cutting in 1991 and stayed on as a teacher after graduating in four years. He studied for a master's degree in 1999 and a doctor's degree in 2004 and then received his doctor of arts degree.
