Tao is the Vice Dean of the School of Design and Vice Director of the Fashion & Textile Research Center of CAA. Professor Tao is also a visiting scholar at Parsons School of Design, the Director of the Academic Committee of the China Fashion Association, the Board Member of the China Fashion & Color Association, the Board Member of the China Fashion Association, the Board Member of Zhejiang Association of Creative Design, and Vice President of Hangzhou Fashion Designer Association.
