Wang Xiaoming, born in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, earned his BA and MA in Printmaking from the Department of Printmaking at the China Academy of Art (CAA).

Concurrently, Prof. Wang serves as an expert in national postgraduate education quality monitoring at the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center; a panelist for the China National Arts Fund; Deputy Director of Peking University's Peiwen Research Center of Chinese Character Art and Director of the Department of Creation; a distinguished researcher at the Advanced Research Center for Art and Ink, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute; a distinguished researcher at the China Graphic Logo Research Center, Tianjin Normal University; a member of the Calligraphy Art Committee of the National Museum of Chinese Writing; a member of the Art Committee, China Fashion & Color Association; a board member of the Zhejiang Province Love Charity Foundation; Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Hand-in-Hand Love Charity Foundation; President of the Zhejiang Hand-in-Hand Love Calligraphy and Painting Institute; President of the China-Shanlian Chinese Character Art Research Institute; and President of the Ningxia 951 Art Research Institute.
