For the past 25 years, Wang has been engaged in the teaching and research of industrial design, including design education, product innovation, design industry and promotion. As an advocate of local design experiments from an international perspective, he took part in several major projects in the Chinese design industry, such as the Shanghai World Expo, Bauhaus entry into China, a National Project on Cultural Science and Technology Innovation, the Collaborative Innovation Center under the 2011 Program, and China Design Intelligence Award.
