Mr. Weng used to serve as Director of the Academic Affairs Office of China Academy of Art and Dean of the School of Continuing Education. He has chaired a number of national and provincial projects, such as "Research and Construction of China Fine Arts Discipline Evaluation System", a research project of the Ministry of Culture. He has edited and published the national key textbook of higher education Introduction to Art Education; He has published a number of papers in more than twenty academic journals such as New Arts and China University Teaching, and the papers include Research on the Design Maker Education System of Universities Based on Cross-sector Integration and The Return of Value - Reflections on the Assessment Index System of Art Discipline in the Context of "Art Studies".
