Wu was enrolled in CAA in 1996 and acquired her bachelor's degree in 2000. In the same year, she furthered her education at the School of Fashion Design as a postgraduate. With a master's degree in 2004, Professor Wu stayed on at CAA to teach. In 2005 she pursued her doctorate in Art and Design at CAA and received the degree in six years.

In 2011, Wu became the responsible person and Master supervisor of the independent branding experiment in the Design Intelligence Innovation Center of Zhejiang Province; From October 2013 to May 2016, she served as the design director and general manager of the CAA brand DUNPIN. In addition, she was selected as one of the 1000 talents in Zhejiang Province with high potential and essential roles in their professional fields.
