Xiong Kaibo

Xiong Kaibo, born in 1977, holds a PhD in Arts. He is a member of the UNESCO International Academy of Ceramics, a council member of the China National Arts & Crafts Society, a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Folk Literature and Art Association, and a designated candidate (second group) for the Zhejiang Literary and Artistic Masters. His works have won over 20 awards, including the Gold Prize at the Zhejiang Provincial Art Exhibition, the Excellence Award at the National Art Exhibition, and the Excellence Award at the International Ceramic Art Biennale. Prof. Xiong's significant project titled "The Essence of Huaxia Pottery Series" was included among the first projects and a key rolling project by the China National Arts Fund, and was adopted for the External Communication Project of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. His key works include The Essence of Huaxia Pottery, and Walking Along with Clay. His works are in the collection of the National Art Museum of China, Zhejiang Art Museum, Henan Provincial Art Museum, Shandong Museum, and China National Arts Fund, among others.
