Xiong Na, born in Changsha, Hunan in 1987, is Associate Professor at the China Academy of Art (CAA). From 2012 to 2015, she earned her PhD in Design Science from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiba University, on a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). She is Deputy Director of Design Industry Innovation Center (DIIC), CAA, and Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of Design Intelligence Award (DIA). She worked at technology companies such as Alibaba Cloud and Tencent and joined CAA after obtaining her PhD. She has been deeply involved in the organization of DIA since its inception for eight years. Leveraging the DIA platform, her team is dedicated to the theoretical structuring, dissemination and application of design intelligence and is committed to exploring how design can help with industrial transformation and social innovation in a new tech context and reconstructing the value system of design ontology.
