Xu Zhenting is an artist, designer, and visiting scholar at California State University, Long Beach. Prof. Xu specializes in writing, painting, making experimental films, and design and is active in practical applications of visual communication and experimental expressions of digital arts. His work focuses on digital media art and visual communication to "integrate art into life and improve life with design". With the advent of virtual reality, he has started his study of visual expression and interactive experience design in the metaverse in order to explore the possibilities of digital media design. Some of his works were exhibited at the 1st China International Poster Biennale, the 4th Trnava Poster Triennial, the 8th Tehran International Poster Biennial, the International Poster Biennial, Ningbo, and the 5th Zhejiang Youth Arts Works Exhibition, and are currently in the collection of many museums. His experimental film Island was listed in Int. Film Festival Hannover. Prof. Xu is committed to the research of digital design and new media communication.
