On February 28, the China Academy of Art held the ceremony of the 7th Erudite Craftsmen Award of CAA.
The award, which uses "erudite craftsmen" as its name, includes Erudite Craftsmen Gold Award, Erudite Craftsmen Award, and Young Erudite Craftsmen Award, which are granted to teachers serving as benchmarks and models for others. Prof. Mou Sen at School of Intermedia Art won the Erudite Craftsmen Gold Award; Prof. Cui Xiaodong at School of Painting and Prof. Bi Fei at School of Arts and Humanities received the Erudite Craftsmen Award; Prof. Dong Jie at School of Arts and Humanities and Prof. Xuan Xuejun at School of Animation and Games were granted the Young Erudite Craftsmen Award.
Created to champion national spirit and pay tribute to traditional culture, the Erudite Craftsmen Award of CAA represents the Academy's highest level of education, research and creation as well as teachers' ethics and achievements.It not only guides the CAA's honor system but also gathers the spiritual power of CAA's academic community under the concept of "heart-to-heart communication", blazing a trail in art education. Over the past seven years, this honor has been bestowed upon 36 teachers in total, whose artistic achievements and spiritual characters have set a high standard for erudite craftsmen in CAA.
