Artists: He Yulong, Dong Sicheng, Quan Guoqing (School of Design)
Instructors: Wu Yichen, Wang Fei, Wei Wei
This graduation work sets itself against the landscape of exploring the New Silk Road in 2035 and creates a mobile setting of transborder exploration and exchange for youths in the future. A new form of transport system comprising onsite vehicles called "Constellation", a one-man vehicle "Valentines", and unmanned vehicles called "Mercury". The design concept of "1+∞" runs through the entire one-man vehicle. As a vehicle meant for outdoor exploration on the New Silk Road for Gen Z, "Valentines" allows the driver to traverse long distances in nature freely. Onsite vehicles serve as anchors along the Silk Road and provide maintenance services for the one-man vehicle. These anchors help youths of the new era as they weave a beautiful dream of exploring the unknown. Unmanned vehicles provide emergency sources of power and road surveyance services for other vehicles. The transport system satisfies the need for outdoor exploration and offers a new alternative for outdoor travel in the future. Gen Z youths shall walk the land, measuring its length with their own feet, and find themselves in nature.

This program assists everyone who aspires toward space exploration. The training leverages virtual reality sickness and three sensory modalities to simulate different types of vertigo. The program also simulates settings, interactions, and the atmosphere in space, offering users an immersive, educational, and enjoyable sci-fi gaming experience.
Physical Limitation
Artist: Zhao Xuge (School of Design)
Instructor: Tao Yin
"Physical Limitation" continues the study I conducted in a Year 1 elective course on physical perception. I wanted to study the differences in human behavior and personal space that are exhibited during non-conventional everyday activities. I did a series of experiments on human behavior that is centered on fashion. First, the subject's elbows were bound to a wooden pole. Next, the subject was instructed to remove their clothes. The different outlines formed by the clothing during this process were documented and formed the silhouette of the new clothing's design. The series of human motion was translated into 2D images, then converted into 3D images again. The final product is made of inflatable fabric, which wraps around the human body and reveals the relationship between human behavior and space.

Happiness is like a spill of sunlight. They are similar, yet different at the same time. Happiness Mapping is a project centered on social happiness and the distribution of happiness. It explores the factors contributing to happiness and employs a multifaceted approach to drive discussions on happiness, encourage people to share and promote happiness, and identify the emotional connections between individuals. In the natural world, light is a phenomenon that cannot be seen nor touched. But in certain environments, it shines and reveals its innate and unique colors. Like light, happiness, as defined by different individuals, produces different outcomes. Everyone has their definition of happiness.
