On the morning of July 11, the opening ceremony of "The Road of Calligraphy Education – Exhibition of Achievements in Sixty Years of Calligraphy Education in Chinese Universities" kicked off at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC). Under the guidance of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the exhibition is hosted by the China Academy of Art (CAA), NAMOC, and the Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, organized by the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA), and Capital Normal University, and supported by the Zhejiang Province Calligraphers Association (ZPCA), Xiling Seal Engraver's Society, Suzhou Art Museum, and Lu Weizhao Academy of Painting and Calligraphy. The event is sponsored by the China National Arts Fund, as part of its efforts to publicize, communicate, and promote China's art projects.

The ceremony was also attended by esteemed figures in higher calligraphy education, department leaders from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, academic leaders from universities and art schools, including the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Beijing Normal University, Zhejiang University, and eight art universities, faculty, students, and alumni from the School of Calligraphy of CAA, as well as professionals from all sectors of society and journalists.

Distinguished visitors to the exhibition include Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13^th National People's Congress, Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, and Academician of CAS; Lu Yingchuan, CPC Committee Member and Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism.

Mr. Han Qide announced the commencement of the exhibition. Gao Shiming, An Yuanyuan, on behalf of NAMOC Curator Wu Weishan, Li Tong, Sun Xiaoyun, Chen Zhenlian, and Xu Jiang delivered a speech at the ceremony. The event was presided over by Shen Hao, Vice President of CAA.

An academic symposium on the 60^th anniversary exhibition of higher calligraphy education was held at NAMOC in the afternoon.
